Different Sound level from Left and Right due to IC

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

After some efforts I could know the fault lies in my Interconnect(VdH The Seconds). Earlier low sound from Right channel. The moment I reversed the two IC wiresi.e I connected the one with red plugs in the left channel(black binding posts on the source and amp)and the one with red terminations on the Right channel , I started getting more sound from the Right channel and less from the left. What has gone wrong with the wire of IC with red connectors. Is it wear and tear due to usage. It's about 3-4 years old only, or some other issues. Can it be set right?
