Re: Blue Circle CS integrated Owners

Yah, it's on order. Thanks for your help. They are an intriguing group.

I'm not really planning to change anything until I break the CS in. I am pretty sure my Audiovector speakers will do fine, as they are kind, efficient and musical to my ears.

But I am curious about the CD sources people are using. It's my guess that a hifi system, like other systems, is no better than its weakest link. After the CS is broken in, I'll compare my existing source with a few low cost CD players from NAD, Cambridge Audio and Arcam (what is available here) and then decide. After I bought and broke in my speakers, and had my amp repaired (nothing major), my existing system sounds quite good to my ears, so I'll use those components as a reference pont.

Then, I'll probably think about cables. My existing ones are dirt-basic (but as I said the sound is good now), and see if some new cables improve things a bit. We have two ends (low and high cost) and no middle when it comes to speaker cables in Denmark, but I refuse to spend more than 150 (USD) for the pair.

I was thinking about building a little, decorative partially open cabinet (box) for the CS made out of a nice hardwood, possibly some elm. Ever seen that done before? The CS sure is ugly. Anyway I have to research that for avoiding vibration/bad resonance problems.

Thanks again for steering me toward Blue Circle. It will look cool in my cofin, if you get my meaning.
