I think it makes the most sense to buy a cheaper DVD player and use it with an external DAC. I agree that the Denon 2900/2910/3910/5900/5910 and Pioneer Elite players are awesome, but their video circuitry is way overkill for your TV. You're paying for something you don't need and the DAC/analog stages are only marginal compared to CD Players or a DAC. I guess another option is to get the clocks and analog stages upgraded but then you're looking at some serious green.
