The Tosh sounds fanatastic for its price, and even beyond. Mine is unmodded except for the vinyl tile tweak.

But it does have some of those issues. Long loads, sometimes just stops. Mine has played all the discs I tried though.

I also have the Panny S47 that I bought when I owned the Benchmark (now sold). I bought it based on the Benchmark connection but now it is for sale. I went with a tubed cdp. Contact me if you cannot find one, they were pretty rare at one time.
