Redbook player options, circa $2,000

Upsamplers, DACs, jitter, shakes and analogue withdrawals, this is it.

I want to modernize my digital front-end and have been looking at the following players in my price range. I would say that approximately 85% of my listening is to acoustic jazz.
My current top contenders are . . .

Naim CD5/5i/5x
Any thoughts on how these machines stack-up would be greatly appreciated as would other machines I might not be thinking of. I'm fairly sure that I want a one-box machine and, due to resale considerations, modded units aren't high on my list either.
