Could be the bearing settling in or showing some irregular signs, as you said you haven't run SACDs too often. I might try running it on SACD for a stretch. At this point, running it 24/7 ain't going to hurt. There could be a lot of reasons why it's making the tick while spinning faster and maybe, just maybe, it stops after some major use.Chris
