I would run a Zobel with cables of this type no matter what. It will not hurt anything if the proper values are used and can only offer protection with the potential for sonic improvements if in doubt. As far as capacitors go, you can use a value that is between .047 uF and .1 uF with a non-inductive resistor that is of 5 - 6 ohms. Having said that, i would double check that you don't have a short between the positive and negative one more time just to be sure. Sean
