Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

A little skepticisim with your coffee?

I agree with your implied indictment of too much hype and hysteria about the way we describe improvements in our systems, but you're dead wrong if you think cables aren't capable of very significant improvements or changes!

Low tech? Maybe you're confusing fewer parts with lower complexity. One protein molecule, in chemical terms, is so much smaller and has fewer parts than a full DNA molecule, but it's just as critical and it's HIGHLY technical. Crystalline structures, electromagnetic flux and induction - jeez, how much science do you want to play with? - makes the notion that cables are "simple" simply WRONG! Your multipart components will fail to deliver properly with the wrong cable in between, just as surely as your DNA will if one of those protein molecules is even slightly off.

No, you cannot build a system on just cable magic, nor can you build a system on just component magic with the wrong connectors. Period. It's a community affair, takes a village and all that jazz...

So just use your ears to sort out the hyperbole from the actual difference they make, but the difference is there and you can't help but notice it if your ears work well. And if you can't hear it, then don't buy it, but don't dis the rest of us who can, please. Thank you.
