On my curiousities about the amp power cord break in? In your experience, how much of an effect does the amp's output have on power cord break in time? I imagine lower volumes would lead to prolonged break in time.As I stated, I have only been able to play the amp at listening volume for about 40 or so hours, but the amp has been powered up for a total of 168 hours with the new cord. Given what you've said, however, I can still expect the sound of my system to continue to improve - hard to believe until I hear it, but a welcome effect!
One other question - during the break in period, does the overall sound seem to consistently improve, or does it degrade at times during the break in? For some reason I wasn't quite as thrilled about the sound of my system last night as I was the night before, but I just wrote it off as my mood (I think people often overlook that fact that your mood can greatly affect perceived sound quality). Could it be that the power cords were to blame for this perception, and that when I go home tonight the system may sound better than ever before?
Thanks,
Pete
