Hi Chris,

Let's just say that I had a few blisters at the end and it took a LONG time :) Got my roommate to help a bit too. To make them tight, I found that it helped to loosely fold up each of the 3 braids and let some go while braiding, and use my foot (did all braiding on the ground) or knee to put pressure a little above the "y" junction as I braided down the cable. I did measure the bare unterminated/uncovered cable, along with a few commercial ones, on a Fluke meter (note: the last digit of each measurement is not accurate since it fluctuated greatly sometimes) and it measured very well.. most stable impedance and lowest inductance of the bunch (way higher capacitance than anything else though.. but still less than some of the most expensive Goertz stuff according to their website) also my cable probably measures differently from looser ones :P I lost a couple lower freq measurements and I believe the inductance measurements may be even lower since the cable wasn't fully straight due to the space I had at the time.. but here goes:

I measured a 6 foot run on a Fluke meter at school, so divided by six to get per foot
Per foot measurements:
Capacitance = 763.83 pF
Inductance: 0.045 uH
Impedances:
1 kHz = 0.0052 ohm
15 kHz = 0.0053 ohm
50 kHz = 0.0056 ohm

If I get some extra time I want to remeasure the cables with terminations and with the heatshrink/techflex covering (I put polyolefin heatshrink on for protection for the cable and myself since it hurts just to hold the thing!). The techflex further "smooths" out the rough points so it won't get little nicks in the conductors. I terminated in Kimber Postmasters (PM25) but turns out I may have to reterminate one end of each in PM33 because my new amps have 5/16" binding posts. Let me tell ya, I think this is the hardest cable I've ever had to terminate :P
