Re: Too bad the Sahuaro webpage

Steve......Ron found in his earlier designs that measured capacitance, inductance, and resistance were so incredibly low that (he felt) they were of little import. His technology is very different and definitely NOT conventional. His cabling is completely hand-fashioned....the only material coming off a spool is the actual conductor itself, and of course, the exterior braiding.

His most recent (and far more evolved) designs deal more with resonance control than with air dielectric. In fact, he not only discontinued using his previous "true" air dielectric conductor design, but now strategically covers the conductors with different dielectric materials in order to help achieve the "tuning" of the conductors themselves. The sonic effect (in part) is dramatically reduced distortion and dramatically increased clarity and resolution. Like the difference between ordinary CD playback and SACD. Not his only method, of course, but it partially explains the evolution and refinement of his air dielectric designs. Very radical. Don't try this at home. :--)

"A bit suspicious", Steve? Not really. You haven't seen, touched, felt, or experienced his cabling, so you *really* can't comment. And not everything about cable design involves L, C, and R. I am not technically-trained, but Ron's designs go way beyond those basic parameters.
