Frank,That would be one way to approach things, but there is some evidence that the Heavyside derivation of Maxwell's equation's may be in error, and the entire basis for our EM theories may not be quite right or complete.
Of course, this is not a very popular topic in the Universities or for Professors who have spent their entire life teaching and promoting said derivation.
Besides, Maxwell's equations would HAVE to take into account the dieelctric effects, the conductor effects, etc., if a complete MODEL of what is actually going on is used as part of such an analysis. Of course, you could chose to ignore all the details, and focus on just the basic LCR parameters, and this would lead you the same wretched 12 gauge zip cord as always.
