Sounds like you have a really nice system. Your experience is similar to mine re: the AQ Midnight. IMHO, I think these cables will hold their own with all but the most expensive commercials. The mesh stuff is just for cosmetics- if the "look" doesn't bug you, I wouldn't bother. Perhaps you could give a more detailed review after they've had a chance to break in?Happy listening.
