That gold leaf is thin stuff! Too hard to work with, but maybe somebody has thicker. But then its $$$, and I don't know how gold would sound. This aluminum is just too easy, and too inexpensive, and sounds too good.I'm suprised nobody has thought of this earlier. Many speaker manufacturers use aluminum in their speakers. Maggies have very thin aluminum deposited on myler for their panels, and it sounds just fantastic. I'd love to compare these two, perhaps somebody with silver foil can make a pair and compare.
