Should I plug Integrated amp directly into wall outlet?

I have a 3.2 Musical Fidelity integrated amp. I am using a a Discovery Cable power cord with this amp. Should I plug it directly into the wall outlet? I recently bought a Titan Audio power strip that has not current limiting, no surge protection. I was thinking of plugging in my cd player, turntable and dvd player into this strip not amp. Does this make sense? Or should I also plug in amp into strip? Ger.
