I'm about to try somewhat of a sleeper XLR from ProAudio LA. The wire is manufactured by Grimm and a bit pricier than those you've mentioned. We shall see. I do have the Canare XLR you mentioned plus a Bravo RCA from Douglas Connection. In my particular 11' run, I hear no clear winner once volume levels are adjusted and matched. If anything, I'm slightly preferring the warmer presentation of the Bravo RCA. Truthfully I could live with either. In my particular case and at this price point, I don't hear a clear cut advantage balanced vs. single ended once volume levels are matched. That said, I'm somewhat anxious to see what the Grimm brings to the table. Hopefully the result won't be grim. As always YMMV.
