Hi Mike_in_MD,
With the use of just about any audio cable or power cord adapter, degradation of the audio signal or AC delivery will occur. So the adapter will work but a penalty will be paid, in that the reason to choose an audiophile-quality power cord in the first place will be affected by the performance of what is essentially an ordinary short-length stock power cord with a molded IEC jack being positioned between the audiophile-quality power cord and the IEC inlet, and will audibly get in the way of what the power cord is intended to provide for the listener.
