Good idea, Jonesy. Another option is to use a large diameter nylon washer (or two stacked) with an inner opening that just fits over the body of the IEC inlet, and mount the IEC inlet on the spacer with two holes drilled to pass the mounting screws through onto the chassis panel. Not particularly elegant, but given the choice between that and not being able to use a conventional audiophile-quality IEC connector makes it an easy decision to ponder.
