When the price of a premium AC connector is cost-prohibitive, Monosaudio is my new AC connector manufacturer of choice. The connector body is more robust than Viborg, with three hefty screws rather than only one that secures the face to the inner body. The overall build quality is equal, and the sonic performance of the unplated copper version is better than Viborg, to my ear. There are also gold-plated and rhodium-plated versions of the entry-level Monosaudio M100/F100 AC connectors available on Amazon. Moreover, Viborg is now coating their previously unplated copper AC connectors with an anti-oxidation treatment that appears to be a thin rose gold plating, which affects the sound in a manner that sounds like a plated AC connector, not unplated copper.
