The Furutech FP-TCS31 is better suited for source components, and even then, the presentation sounds rather soft, not particularly firm sounding for some applications. I find it sounds the best when used as a power cord for a power line conditioner that feeds digital source components, Aaron 01.
I recommend the Acoustic Revive 8800 bulk power cable for power amplification. The 8800 is only a bit more expensive than the Oyaide Black Mamba V2 bulk power cable, and when a 3 meter length is ordered direct from Japan, you can build two quite affordable 5 foot (1.5 meter) power cords with it.
