@Duster. Due to mild hyperacusis, I am very sensitive to frequencies in the sibilance and tizz range. Certain sounds from that range, for example cymbals and female vocal sibilance that don't bother others, really bother me a lot. I am constantly trying to "improve" overall presentation via slight darkening and tonal density increase, a little at a time. I think I am almost there. Upgrading of speakers and electronics not possible for the next 12 months.
I have one final PC to tweak in my attempt to get that final 5 percent darkening. Power cable is Acrolink 4030II and this PC will be from my Int amp (Line Magnetic) to AC outlet (Furutech GTX D gold). Connectors of PC in question is Sonarquest gold which I assuming is somewhat neutral and open sounding (so I am told). Regardless, I am using that as a reference point. I guess my question is, whether the Furutech FI-11 (g) is known to have a dense and a little darkish tonal character and whether matching it to my Furutech GTX D (g) will yield even better results in right direction.
Btw, in your experience, is there a discernible difference in sound quality when one matches male connector to AC receptacle? I intend to change the male plug first, to get that exact match of male connector to AC receptacle. The female I am not too concerned at the moment, since I will have it plugged to an inlet of dissimilar metals anyway. I will probably change the female to the furutech eventually though. However, if in your experience, it really matters to have both male and female connectors to be identical, I will probably change them at the same time. (Trying to save some money...:))
Hope you understand what I am getting at. Thanks again for your time.
