Recently I took a Vintage Audio Lab 2M power cable made with OCC single crystal copper wire and cut it in two parts to make two 1M cables to replace the two 2M Pangia AC-14 cables that had been supplying current to two power bars for my system. I reasoned that the Valab cable being 10GA wire the cable would provide more current (of course you already know this but I'm a bit slow in my old age). I terminated the cut ends with more Valab connectors and plugged them in and you can bet your bippie the system is now juiced up. Dynamic and bigger sound without any negatives.
What this little exercise did was show me (again) that wire does make a difference.
