I'm a big fan of unshielded power cords. Like Duster said though not solid core.
DH labs silver sonic at $8 per foot is a nice bargain. Buy a Furutech FI 25 or similar Neotech on closeout sale at Sonicraft. You can make the cord in 15 minutes.
