You are correct. I've never tried the brass version, only the copper version which I've used for most of my rca jack upgrades. That said, I like the particular design so much that I would likely choose the brass version for a lower-budget project if the copper version was deemed too pricey. For example, I selected a set of Vampire's brass version binding posts for an Acurus power amplifier placed in a second system rather than the more expensive copper version, and found the brass version to sound substantially better than the sub par stock binding posts of the Acurus power amplifier, so it was at least a satisfactory upgrade, in that particular case.
