Hi CD Dude, As mentioned YMMV, yet I'm only going by what I've heard in said friends systems as being a pleasant sound. I myself use several different cabling looms that consist of a sole Synergistic Research Tricon Analogue phono-cable ( Ag based ) used with either a pair of Crimson RM Music-Link - LFD Spiroflex or Audio Note Lexus speaker cables and power cords that I rotate between amps depending upon any given mood. In my system I too needed the extra snap and sparkle at the very top end that I've found silver to produce in systems with slightly rolled off highs - where as in my friends system where his Harbeth Compact 7ES-3's use metal dome tweeters the copper based Huffman's did an outstanding job in this application as it should be well known listening have to use either silver or copper based cables to voice their systems accordingly and know what sounds best to their ears and not be moved by others opinions based upon what ones ears/senses tells them is right or wrong in their system. It's all subjective/objective to say the least - but they are a great starting point are they not?. Regards, Oscar
