I have no direct experience of either star quad cable, however, the Canare cable features a PE dielectric, while the Mogami cable features PVC dielectric. Based on that factor alone, I would opt for the Canare cable since PE has a lower dielectric constant than PVC. Additionally, since a star quad cable tends to have higher capacitance than say for example a twisted pair, the sonic impact of such capacitance would (at least in theory) be more benign via PE vs. PVC. Furthermore, unless the Mogami is actually a sonically superior product, the Canare cable is the lower priced option for otherwise similar pro audio speaker cable products.
