to quote The Dude: 'that's just, like, your opinion maan' : ). There could be any number of reasons that you're not hearing much of a difference, including that there just may not be between those two cables. Just because a cable costs more doesn't mean it will sound better or different.
That being said, the definitive way for you to come to a conclusion would be to buy another brand of cables and if those sound the same as well, then you've got your answer.
I'd recommend the Belkin Silver Series cable on Amazon. $30, PCOCC, PE dielectric, etc. If there's no difference just return for a refund (easy w/ Amazon) and you'll know where you stand.
