Got these cables because I am a sucker for deal and AA was closing them out (they are still available 07/13/2008) for $29/3 cables regardless of lenght from 1m to 4m. And I had this cable in the old yellow jacket as a 75ohm digital IC and have always been impressed with it. These are supposedly component video cables, hence the 3 you get when ordered. I will let other speak to their capabilities in this regard, just Google it. They are fine video performers by the way and as stated previously, this cable is a phenomenal digital cable when it was $100/m. It's a no brainer digital cable at $10/m.

I was asked by a couple of inmates to test as an analog IC. So I finally got around to doing just that. I tested this cable in my headphone rig which consists of a Marantz SA8001 SACD/CDP, Woo Audio 3 SET tube headphone amp, BeyerDynamic DT770 new model headphones. Reference cable was Luminous Audio Synchestra Signature. I have this thru out my main rig, AV rig and headphone rig. These were at one time $350/m pair cables. Drum roll please...the Tributaries SCVC component video cables ar not half bad as an analog IC. Actually they are very good for $29/pair. Compared to the Luminous Synch Sigs, they are not as crisp in the high frequencies and do not have as much bass articulation and slam. There is a slight smearing of highs. I found my head bobbing more and my toes tapping more with the Synch Sigs. The Luminous cables just have more PRAT if you will if a cable can have PRAT. The end game for me here is that these really aren't meant to be audio cables but they sound much better than they should as audio cables. They are dynamite video and digital cables and are a steal for $29/3 for whatever you want to use them for.

Product Weakness: Slight smearing to high frequency sounds. Slightly weak bass articulation. Not as much PRAT as my reference cable.
Product Strengths: Price, overall sound and utility. Incredible value.
