I am thinking of having some 3 and 5 foot XLR's made as a baseline to see how potentially higher end cables compare to a basic pro cable in my application.
Has anyone compared mogami 2543 vs. 2549?
Other suggestions are welcome.
This is for going in and out of a balanced 600 ohm preamp.
I am considering thecablefactory.net to put them together, since they claim to take
a bit more care than the average company soldering these. They say they leave the
solder joint stationary for 10 sec after soldering to help it set.
Again any input on who to have build these from would be helpful. Does anyone cold pressure
crimp these, and is that a good idea?
