HowdyAs a slight amplification of what Duster said: one of the reasons I was attracted to the asylum is that you can search people's posts/systems to see how their tastes, system, attitude matches yours (or at least are consistent enough for you to correlate them to yours.) If you stick around you get to know people and what their strengths (and weaknesses) are.
Personally after looking around a little (and using search) I'd try to borrow some cables from, say, friends or http://www.fatwyre.com or if you are of the DIY inclination check out the Tweakers' Asylum and perhaps build some cables for yourself.
