Both and vibration control, too...

Vibration control methods are just as important as cabling and power line conditioning, IME.

You will need to determine which performance level, and any particular sonic goal(s) you may wish to obtain. Higher price point audiophile gear often provides greater sonic betterment, but substantial improvements can still be found via economical devices:

I agree with kenster and Al about first installing an Audio Grade AC outlet at the wall, then work your way downstream. If you want to spend as little as possible to improve your AC delivery system, you should opt to select big bang for the buck products that present a polite sonic signature. As mentioned in this thread, the purchase of a Furutech FP-15A(Cu) AC outlet and Furman PST-8D power line conditioner would be a real bargain. I highly recommend that the Furman PST-8D's captive 14 AWG power cords molded nickel plated AC plug be snipped off and re-terminated with a low-cost Furutech FI-11M(Cu) AC plug in order to gain much better performance and synergy with the Furutech FP-15A(Cu) AC outlet.

DIY-built VH Audio Flavor power cords are also great bargains. A DIY Flavor 1 or 3 power cord connected to a digital component, and a DIY Flavor 2 or 4 power cord connected to an analog component, when terminated with a Furutech FI-11M(Cu) AC plug and a Furutech FI-11(Ag) IEC connector are a best buy option, IMHO.

IME, Herbie's Audio Lab Tenderfoot feet are an affordable and safe-bet vibration control method when placed under source components, and Herbie's Audio Lab Gabon Ebony Dome with grungebuster Base footers when placed under preamp and power amp are also an affordable and safe-bet option.
