Cable for phono application

I was wondering what band/model of decent cables would be recommended to try for phono application between my MC step up transformer and MM phono stage. I have tried some cheap cables and found the sound tone can change quite a lot between different types (some relaxed, some brash and bright)

I was originaly using a cheap coax cable but had a bad hum issue. I have recently been trying cheap microphone cable types that have a twisted pair and a shield I leave unconnected at SUT end but and at the other end solder to flying leads then attach these to the phono stage grounding screw. This produces much less hum. I am assuming a twisted pair shielded type cable is the way to go for me. Or is there a coax which might be good (without hum issues)??

I am interested in the Belden cable types but there are so many types. Anyone have any ideas which ones to try? I would be looking at the more expensive teflon insulated types. I am willing to spend a bit and I realise I might have to try a few different cables before I get a sound I like.

Any help would be much appreciated
