HowdyFWIW when I was looking for interconnects for my MC system I tried a lot out before I bought six pair :) At the mid price points (about $400 - $800 per pair) I wasn't having a lot of luck hearing big differences. I went and got a very expensive pair just to see if I was barking up the wrong tree. In my system it sounded horrible :)
Later when my system settled down a little I bought the cables I have today and tho they aren't too expensive (in relation to my system) they make a heck of a difference to me compared to others I've tried.
