Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

Re: Anyone using active shields on speaker cables??

You do not need to use more then one MPC (Mini Power Coupler). All SR cables come with their own power supplies called Mini Power Couplers or MPC's. A pair of cables requires only one MPC as each MPC handles (2) cables or one pair. The Quattro power supply is for systems with lots and lots of MPC's or for slightly higher performance from Active Shielding.

BTW I auditioned the new Tesla Series in my system and LOVED the Precision Reference speaker wire and Accelerator Interconnect- it displaced much more expensive wire in my system (Valhalla) at a fraction of the Nordost cables cost. I also find it curious that Kenster is using AQ "battery" cables with an SR "active" sub-woofer cable on his REL. When I auditioned Audioquest cables the sound was seriously lacking in body and texture compared to Synergistic Research Tesla cables- smooth and detailed on top to be sure, but incomplete in its presentation. Also the Audioquest sound stage was much smaller and lacked detail and was not quite as smooth and definitely not as transparent with weak low frequencies when compared to the new Synergistic Research Tesla cables. My recommendation to Kenster, since you love your REL Spec cable so much why don't you go out and try some of the new TESLA stuff- just as the Synergistic wire was better then the Audioquest on your REL Subwoofer so too will the Synergistic Research interconnects and speaker wire be better then your Audioquest Interconnects and speaker cables. It's a no brainer.
