I have heard McIntosh people say it does not, and that, if a different power cord would make their equipment sound better they would include it. When in doubt, I would consult the manufacturer. McIntosh, in particular, have a very credible reputation.I will not argue with anyone about what they say or believe they heard.
Is the air especially dry there today? It is here in Connecticut and things sound great.
