...silver has its places, but those vary idiosyncratically to the user and rig. I tried military spec wire, copper silver plated, for a PC and did not like it. Some do, some don't. As to pure silver in the gauge necessary for a power cord, well, that's a rather expensive proposition.Meantime, shielding or cross-talk rejection and RFI shielding may encompass several topics. It's true that geometry can indeed provide the equivalent of shielding. This is beyond my ability to explain physically, vut some of the other guys can and you can search the archives here for more info.
Which geometry or material is "best" is an unanswerable question at this time. You'll find opinions as varied as the stars here, and none of them is invalid, just valid for their situation and their ears, IMHO.
Personally, I use several different configurations of power cords in different applications. No science here other than that analog takes unshielded and digital takes shielded (one side floating in my rigs). Your guess (or experiment and taste) is as good as anyone else's...
