Re: Anyone using active shields on speaker cables??

Hey Matt,

I stepped up to AudioQuest Volcano DBS Bi-wire speaker cables from MIT MH-750 Plus about 5 months ago and they are about the "quietest" cables I have heard...or "not heard" as the case may be! Truly excellent cables and the kind that once they are installed, they just disappear so to speak. One really has to hear them for oneself to understand the attributes they bring :-)

I know these are way above your budget but AQ does make the DBS speaker cables in the ~$600/pair range.

In addition, I just stepped up to the Synergistic Research Resolution Reference REL SPEC active cable for my REL subbass systems and all I can say is....."WOW". These combined with AQ DBS Speaker cables and IC's really make a statement audiowise as to cables and how they effect ones system.

Cheers,
