The latest cable trends appear to be in alloyed wire (not plated). Siltech has been the pioneer in this area. A true alloyed wire typically yields better sonic performance but at a high cost. My latest findings of the Pure Note Titaniums reveals what a palladium-silver wire can present sonically. There are many others doing gold-silver, etc. and all have their sonic attributes. I do wonder if most of these claims (especially in the lower priced products) are valid or just "bandwagon marketing spin." Best to try and learn.
