The solid silver wire might complement the tube pre, but the wire ga. is a bit on the large size. This larger diameter wire might cause some audible transient smearing or confusion, depending on the bandwidth of the tube pre. The solid silver could work with the tubes, or not, if the system as a whole is a bit forward or bright.If you do already have a forward sounding system, use of a copper based internal wiring might be indicated. In this instance, the Belden 1506A core would probably be a better bet, as it is a solid wire and a bit smaller at 20 ga. On the down side, it is hard to get the teflon core off, and if I understand you corectly, the DH Labs wire is bare. This might tip the balance in favor of the DH Labs wire, all things considered.
