For upper end(over $200 used) cables retermination should be a warning to stay away.
The retermination cuts the value to 1/4 of non-reterminated, and that is only if you have proof of the wire being used as genuine.
It is very easy to use any old wire and make it look like an expesive one, then add any-old connectors and claim it is reterminated.
Many of the connectors on highend cables are hard to copy. and even harder to connect to the cable as the factory does it.
Personally I have a bunch of cables I have reterminated. (all Kimber PBJ or AKG..) I would NEVER expect to be able to sell them.
Buyer beware: you really do get what you pay for... or much less. (seldom more!)
