Is the IEC inlet a female version of the one pictured?U could try the AudioQuest power cord if it is but if it were me, I would pop the hood on the Pioneer and see how the PC is electrically attached to the PCB and depending on the connection type would dictate the direction to go.
In either case your right. Oyaide connectors make a profound difference for the better even when installed on 2 pole PC's as I have done :-)
