Some manufacturers actually voice their equipment with a stock power cord (blasphemy, I know). And since your power cord is not the typical 1 dollar cord, there might be a good chance that yours was voice with it too. (I'm getting in big trouble here, I can feel it.)So, if you replace the power cord with something else, you might make a change but you probably won't make an improvement (that's it, this guy has gone too far!).
I would improve the AC wall outlet first, and play games with the power cord later.
