Seems that PCs are idiosyncratic. What works in one component doesn't necessarily work in another; what works for one guy ---- you get the picture!Yes, Marinco hospital grade are good over the counter terminations. Are both ends Marinco? OK, if you, then you can open them up probably and see if the wires are screwed or soldered into the terminations. If screwed, then you are able to easily experiment with other wires/geometries in between, which may indeed change your opinion of the sonics of your system.
If not, well you can always try on approval from a good seller and see if a different PC appeals to you more.
