Both use thin insulation and are "single strand" copper (the anti-cable solid core), but the Mapleshade is:"... handmade from silver-plated, single strand, high-purity copper wire drawn and heat-treated to our spec. Our cable is coated with ultra-thin (less than .0002â€) low loss insulation, twisted into a super-tight, field-canceling helix."
I've used and enjoyed both in the past, the Mapleshade was more satisfactory in my system.
