Cardas XLR versus RCA Question for SACD

I have a 1 meter long pair of Cardas Crosslink interconnects that the local dealer terminated with Neutrik XLRs that I was using to connect my Bryston BP25P with my 3B-ST until I upgraded to Transparent cables. Now the Cardas are just sitting around, and I am trying to put them to good use.
I am thinking about terminating the input ends with Cardas RCAs to use with my SACDmods Sony SACD player, to use them with the balanced XLR inputs on my preamp. Would this be better than using a straight RCA to RCA interconnect? ... or should I just use Cardas RCAs on both ends and sell the Neutrik ends?
