Hello OldGroaner... is the Chord company Siren the silver model. I have used both the VdH and the Silver Chord and found very similar results. At the time I was using a Tom Evans modded Iso and tried both. The VdH never really achieved greatness in the treble region even when run for along time on a headphone amp so I would not hold out too much hope that it will get much better. In the end I used an old run of Audioquest Quartz, just a good high quality copper.... and things evened out after that. I think they were more money than the Chords.Maybe that helps, maybe not.
