the effect of cables depend on how high resolution your system is to show a bigger difference. i bought both lc-1 and 1694a and found the 1694a unlistenable. even after being burned in, i much prefered the lc-1. if you go to the cable faq and look up jon risch, you'll find some proven ingredients for good cable construction and sound. it seems that no pvc and less shielding is preferable, and that may be why 1694a suffers, having both of those. it's meant to be a video cable, and really, that's what bluejean seems to specialize in. for 2 channel audio applications, there are more, better options, at around the same affordable range. i don't want to be an advertising agent for them, but search around this forum.
