To be honest, I didn't like the sound at all through the 89259 design. I thought it was tipped up in the high frequencies and the sound stage was compressed both in width and depth. The L-5CFB didn't exhibit any of this and sounded more neutral and much more musical to me. I would give a slight edge to the 89259 for detail retrieval.
