The only way you are going to find out what works is to try it in your system. Specs mean nothing when it comes to noise. For example one design may trap a local AM radio frequency that the designer didn't have in his area when evaluating the design.The PhD was the only one I tried out of a dozen (all more expensive) that met my criteria for low noise and good sound. It was an unusual choice for me as I always prefer tube designs.
