Fine Silver, Ballanced???

I'm trying to rewire my recording studio with the best wire available. I've been back and forth with silver wire, plated copper and just about every combination of the two. I just can't get the facts straight! I have thousands of feet of ballanced, line and mic level runs to make. I am seriously considering using silver wire but I've been told that it has never been done before (an entire studio that is!) Would it make that much of a difference, and if so, in what way? Which cable is the best for this application?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.
